Echo Galileo

Customer: Immucor
Created: 5/2007
Process: Photographic

For over 25 years, Immucor has been singularly focused on pre-transfusion diagnostics.

Our Scalable Solutions suite of products includes manual and fully automated solutions for all size laboratories.

We understand that even the smallest laboratory has a critical need for speed, accuracy and flexibility.

That’s why Immucor has developed Galileo Echo —a revolutionary third generation analyzer that delivers the benefits of a top-of-the-line instrument for smaller laboratories.

Quality Control

Secure

Analyzer and assay process is controlled by
hardware and software checks during
initialization and sample processing

Seamless

Multi-layered controls: reagent control and test control
WBcorQC for daily QC
Set of 4 whole blood samples to verify the condition of the reagents and test process
Sample phenotypes pre-selected and validated by Immucor
True run controls, can be processed with samples

Convenient

Requires no user intervention

By utilizing linear racks, the user
is able to continuosly add samples,
replenish reagents while the
instrument processes previously
requested assays.

After clicking the "Gold Runner"
icon, the user simply needs to
select assays to be associated
with specific samples. The
instrument will confirm the
necessary reagents and
microstrips are available.
During this process, the user
will be able to designate
sample as a STAT.

Galileo Echo utilizes on-board
image analysis which grades
each result. The high-resolution
camera interprets each microwell
using algorithims pre-set based
on 0-100 reaction strength.
Each sample result is consolidated
with a wealth of information
specific to the sample ID: results
summary, supplies used only for
that sample, login information,
process steps, etc., all
archivable to DVD.

Knowing it is important to
continue processing without
interruption, Echo allows
PBS replenishment and
waste removal as the
instrument continues to
process samples on the
main portion of the
instrument.
